Regrettably I can’t seem to find an illustration of how the GWK was shifted with detail. I think it was just one of the two shown levers:
Which leaves one to wonder what the other lever does. A GWK has two pedals as well - maybe one of the levers is the clutch?

Handbrake?
I see that it had an extra pressure pedal so you might have some chance of making it uphill without terminal transmission slip!

Some Goggomobils had a preselect gearbox that you changed with this dainty lever sticking out of the dash.
